Marc Bonavia

Mr. Marc Bonavia, director of the Catalonia Trade & Investment's office in Silicon Valley, is a global entrepreneur who founded SITmobile (acquired by Soprano). He got inspired at Singularity University in Exponential Technologies and worked as an Innovation Coach. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Pharmacy and a Master in Experimental Pharmaceutical Sciences from UB University. He also studied a Master's in High-Performance Leadership at EADA Business School.

    In early 2020 Apple set up its largest Southern European engineering hub in Barcelona, dedicated to the development of Siri’s global application with an international workforce of some 450 engineers and business positions.

  • Microsoft

    In 2021 Microsoft established a new AI R&D hub in Barcelona dedicated to the development of Bing, Azure. The new R&D hub joined the quantum computing team that Microsoft has been operating already in Barcelona.
