The Swiss multinational has chosen the Catalan capital to set up its Center of Excellence, which will serve the company at a global level.
Swiss specialty chemicals company Arxada will open a new Center of Excellence in Barcelona, where it plans to create up to 100 jobs. For this project, the company has received the support of ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment, the Government's agency for business competitiveness.
The Center of Excellence, located in Barcelona, will support the company's growth on a global scale. It will focus on different operational areas, including finance, IT, business intelligence, human resources, and commercial departments.

According to Arxada's CEO, Marc Doyle, the company explored several locations for its Center of Excellence, ultimately choosing the Catalan capital: "Barcelona gives us access to an exciting emerging pool of talent", Doyle explained. "The city is rapidly becoming a destination of choice for top tech companies and is attracting many bright people worldwide. This is what tipped the scales in favor of Barcelona", said Doyle.
Still in the center's foundational stage, the company has already secured the resources of approximately twenty qualified professionals. The official opening of its location in Torre Llevant is slated for June 2023.
