Pol Fenollar, Lab Lead Barcelona
This was announced today by the Minister of Business and Labour, Roger Torrent, and the Lab Lead Barcelona, Pol Fenollar, after a working meeting and a visit to the 3,000 m2 R&D center located in Torre Glòries in Barcelona. The event took place on the occasion of the company's fifth anniversary in Catalonia.
Minister Torrent described the announcement as "great for creating quality jobs, jobs with future prospects, and because it helps to consolidate the technological ecosystem of our country". Torrent recalled that Catalonia has a record 9,155 subsidiaries of foreign companies and assured that the Generalitat will continue to "support projects of strategic value such as Dynatrace". "We will continue to work to facilitate and attract investments of high strategic value for the future of the Catalan economy, our productive system, and Catalans", he concluded.
On the other hand, Lab Lead Barcelona, Pol Fenollar, emphasized that "Barcelona is an important location for Dynatrace: we have grown a lot here since we opened our first office with a team of 15 people. We hope to expand our reach in Barcelona and strengthen our relationship with the local community of which we are a part".
Most of the new jobs to be created in Barcelona will be for engineers specializing in software development. However, there will also be profiles related to finance, human resources, and other business areas. With headquarters in the United States and its main R&D center in Linz, Austria, Dynatrace currently employs 4,200 people worldwide.
