China’s leading industrial robotics company chooses Barcelona for its European expansion

ESTUN Automation, China’s leading industrial robotics company, has opened new facilities in Barcelona at DFactory Barcelona, a key Industry 4.0 ecosystem promoted by the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB).

After several years as the second-largest player in China’s industrial robotics market, ESTUN achieved market leadership in 2025, surpassing traditional global manufacturers. Its entry into Barcelona marks a significant milestone in its European expansion, supporting industrial competitiveness across Europe and serving major clients such as BYD and CATL.

According to Dmitry Kapishnikov, CEO of ESTUN Iberia, establishing operations at DFactory Barcelona “reflects our strong commitment to the European market and to providing close, top-level support.” He adds that by integrating into this industrial innovation hub, ESTUN will “strengthen collaboration with local industries, promote joint R&D, and offer advanced automation solutions tailored to the needs of Barcelona and Europe.”
