39 Catalan companies exhibit more than 100 products at the Fuorisalone in Milan, the world's most important design trade fair

39 Catalan companies and 60 professionals will exhibit more than 100 products at the Fuorisalone in Milan, the world's most important design trade fair. The exhibition ‘Inspired in Barcelona: A gathering place’ will be dedicated to Barcelona’s bar culture, with proposals for interior design and food design.

"Inspired in Barcelona: A gathering place" is promoted by ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment and the Department of Creative Industries of the Barcelona City Council. The exhibition was conceived by the BCD - Barcelona Design Center and sponsored by Kriscadecor. Art and motion graphics are directed by Ivan Bravo and the web design is by The Others.

The official opening ceremony, held on Tuesday, was attended by the executive director of ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment, Joan Romero, who said that “this show will give great visibility to the excellence, creativity, and talent of Catalan companies and professionals”.

According to ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment’s executive director, the Catalan exhibition “is an excellent example of Catalonia’s commitment to Milan’s trademark design show. If we want to be an international benchmark in this field, the design week in the capital of Lombardy is an unmissable event”.

The exhibition, which will offer examples of graphic design, illustration, interior design, and gastronomic tastings, is located in the Brera district, one of the main areas of Milan where the activities of the Fuorisalone take place.

More than 100 products, concepts, and works will fill the two main rooms of this exhibition, organized in two areas. One is dedicated to the contract sector for bars and the other to food design.

The exhibition's curator is Martin Azua, a designer and artist in charge of transmitting the soul of Barcelona and its values ​​in the installation, the result of the balance between tradition and innovation.

In the space dedicated to the world of interior design and product design, eight different bar ideas will be articulated, with their personality and furniture, through a variety of products that will give a broad idea of ​​Catalonia’s bar culture.

On the other hand, in the space dedicated to food design, there will be a tribute to the food culture, a culinary tradition that has its roots in wineries, cafes, restaurants, cocktail bars, and terraces.

In this sense, visitors will find art and illustration projects, gastronomic explorations and crockery ideas, ceramics that explore new forms, innovative packaging, research on the food of the future, and also bread sculptures and unique pieces.

The companies that will exhibit their products in this edition are: Aflote, Aparentment, Arrels Foundation, BD Barcelona 1972, Biscuits Bcn, Blasco & Vila, Bobino BV, Calma, Capdell, Comas Partners, El Celler de Can Roca, Enea Design, Estiluz, Faro Barcelona, Florentine Kitchen Knives, GOFI, Insolit, Kave Home, Kettal, Kriskadecor, Lagranja Collection, Lékué, Livingthings, Lucirmás, Marcceramica, Marset, Milán Iluminación, SA, Mobles 114, Museu del Càntir d'Argentona, Omelette Editions, Plat Institute, Pott, Resol, RS Barcelona, Santa & Cole, TotCor Project, Varlet, Vergés (Silleria Vergés, SA)  and Vibia.
