The Saudi Arabian company, which develops mobile video games, considers the Catalan capital "the perfect place" to attract talent.
Sandsoft, a developer of video games for mobile devices, will create 60 new jobs in Barcelona over the next three years with the opening of its European headquarters in the Catalan capital. The company's decision to locate this studio in Barcelona is part of its global growth plan, including offices in Saudi Arabia, Finland, and China.

The company has received support from ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment, the Business Competitiveness Agency of the Department of Business and Labour of the Government of Catalonia, to establish itself in the Catalan capital.
According to the Minister of Business and Labour, Roger Torrent, "attracting foreign investment in the video games sector is strategic because of the boost it provides in terms of innovation and creativity, technological development and the international positioning that Catalonia projects to the world". "Investment projects such as Sandsoft consolidate our position as the main hub in the European Union in this sector", he stressed.
In this sense, Sandsoft's CEO, David Fernández, assures that "Barcelona is home to a thriving community of video game creators and is the perfect location for talented developers from all over Europe to come and join the company". The company will develop its own video games from Barcelona, creating new skilled jobs for game artists, game developers, game designers, game data analysts, and analytical engineers.
According to ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment, Catalonia has consolidated its position as the leading region in the European Union in attracting foreign investment in the video game sector, with 12.2% of the total and projects coming mainly from the United States, France, Sweden, and South Korea. In fact, 40% of the world's leading companies in the sector have a presence in Catalonia, such as Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, and King.
