Sant cugat to have the first business cluster for the sport industry

Sant cugat's high performance sports center (car) is to create the new international catalonia esportparc, a business cluster for companies in the sport industry. the project aims to start operations by 2013, and its main goal is to conduct research and innovation in all areas related to sports and leisure activities.

with an investment of eur 52 million, the new cluster will offer 71,000 square meters of facilities to be built next to the car. the esportparc will also have a technology and innovation center, a business center and a product lab where athletes would cooperate directly with companies in the design of new products and services.
