The German company began operations in Spain in 1952, and today Boehringer Ingelheim has two state-of-the-art production plants in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona, underscoring its commitment to the region. One facility specializes in the manufacturing of injectables and capsules and has recently received a total investment of 18 million euros. This year, the company plans to launch a new antidiabetic product from this site. The second plant, operational since 2019 following a substantial investment of 120 million euros, focuses on the production of aseptic cartridges and packaging for the RESPIMAT® range of inhalers.
