The new facilities represent an investment of over €11 million and have received support from ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment.

The President of the Government of Catalonia, Pere Aragonès, inaugurated the new automotive components plant of the German industrial group Freudenberg in Parets del Vallès (Barcelona), coinciding with the company's 175th anniversary.

Aragonès highlighted Freudenberg's investment in Parets del Vallès as "a prime example of Catalonia's re-industrialization process and the strengthening of the region’s industry".

The investment received support from ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment, which allocated 200,000 euros as part of its high-impact business investment assistance program.

During his speech, the president of the government also noted that "last year, Catalan industry grew by 2.8%", a figure he deemed "crucial", considering that in the whole of Spain growth stood at 1.9% and there had been a 2.8% decline at the European level.

Freudenberg's new facilities in Parets del Vallès, designed to operate 100% on renewable energy, entail the replacement and modernization of the existing plant, representing an investment of over 11 million euros.

Freudenberg Sealing Technologies is the group's automotive division, manufacturing reinforcements for shock absorbers and components for steering systems. The production process involves the bonding of rubber and metal through compression or injection, utilizing cutting-edge technological innovations such as AI.
