
Ricoh puts 2 million euros into Barcelona service centre

Ricoh is to invest €2 million in a new project at its L’Hospitalet de Llobregat operations base.
The technology solutions and document management experts have just set up an outsourcing centre employing a staff of 55. This service centre will deal essentially with the banking and insurance sector. The core business of the centre will be divided into two major areas; document production and secondly, document management in order to help make large scale corporate communications with a high volume of administrative processing more fluid.
Furthermore, the centre is also called to enable “improvements in client productivity, as it operates directly upon the infrastructure of business processes”, according to the Director of outsourcing of Ricoh España, Manuel Alinque.
This is the second such investment Ricoh has announced for the territory recently. Last may, the Japanese multinational informed about a €7 million investment in a service centre it runs in Sant Cugat (Vallès Occidental). Following the opening of the L’Hospitalet centre, Ricoh España now employs a total workforce of 300 people across the country, who are engaged in guaranteeing the highest level of service to the technological firm’s clients throughout Spain.
