Ossa revs up engines again

Legendary catalan motorcycle manufacturer ossa is back in business with a new model, the tr 2801 ossa trial. the company, which disappeared in 1985 due to fierce competition from japanese motorcycles, plans to present later this month the first tr 2801 ossa units. foreign clients and collectors have already bought 1,250 units of the new model.

ossa's new owners invested eur 4.5 million to refloat the company and plan to launch a new bike model every year until 2014 as part of their strategic business plan. in 2011, the company expects to manufacture about 3,000 units of the new tr 2801 model.
