Delta launches direct flights from Seattle to Barcelona starting May 2026

Delta Air Lines has announced the launch of a new nonstop route between Barcelona-El Prat Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), starting May 7, 2026. The route will operate three times per week and be served by the next-generation Airbus A330-900neo aircraft.

This new transatlantic connection reinforces Catalonia’s position as a leading international destination for both tourism and business, while further strengthening economic ties between the United States and the region. It also marks a significant expansion of Delta’s presence in Seattle, where the airline is investing in upgraded infrastructure, including two new premium lounges and streamlined operations across 18 gates in Concourses A and B.

Delta’s decision to connect Seattle and Barcelona is driven by growing demand. According to the airline, Barcelona ranks among the top ten most searched destinations on Delta’s website. The new route complements Delta’s existing nonstop services between Barcelona and key U.S. hubs, including Atlanta, New York's JFK Airport, and Boston.
