Miquel Alimentació to invest 35 million euros in its abrera facility

Food and drink suppliers miquel alimentació are due to invest €35 million in a new logistics centre in abrera, (baix llobregat). the first phase, which will occupy 30,000m 2, is expected to be up and running within two years. the firm estimates that it will require a further 150 workers for the site.
for the current year, the firm is optimistic it will see growth return, and estimates a rise of 5% in turnover, largely due to sales to overseas markets. exports to over 30 countries account for €26 million of company sales and miquel is forecasting a growth of up to 25% in its international business.
