Honda opens a new logistics centre in catalonia

Honda has opened its new logistics centre in sta. perpetua de mogoda (barcelona) where it already has a plant building trial motorcycles, components and spare parts, its safety institute and its sales department.
the logistics centre, covering 28,000 square metres, will employ 49 people, in addition to the existing 300 workers in honda’s other operations in catalonia.
the centre will serve the south of france, the iberian peninsula, as well as north africa, beginning with morocco. the port of barcelona will be key to supplying these markets, showing its strength as both as a european port of entry for asian products, and as a mediterranean commercial hub.
according to mr koji yamaguchi, president of honda europe, in the near future the growth of the north african market will further contribute to production increases at its barcelona plant.
