Henkel has launched a new automated warehouse at its facilities in Montornès del Vallès (Barcelona). The company has invested 22 million euros in this new 24,000m2 warehouse, whose construction began in 2019 and it is expected to store more than 500 different products.
In this way, Henkel’s center in Catalonia becomes the logistics hub for Southern Europe for the Laundry & Home Care division, with brands such as Wipp Express, Dixan, Tenn and Vernel, among others.
This expansion of the facilities will allow Henkel to improve delivery times of its brands to the market with the implementation of the latest industry 4.0 technologies for the automation of processes. The company has tripled its production after the implementation of a new packaging line in this same center in 2018, which will support the increased demand for exports to other countries in Southern Europe.
These new facilities are added to the current warehouse that Henkel built in 1994 and which will continue to be fully operational.
To develop this project, Henkel has had the support of Catalonia Trade & Investment.
