The american multinational food sector firm fresh start bakeries, based in california and a key official supplier of mcdonald's, has invested a further €1.8 million in its plant in olesa de montserrat (barcelona). the operation has required the hiring of new staff, bringing the current workforce up to 55, whilst doubling its current business in catalonia.
among the major investments undertaken by fresh start bakeries is that of its new packaging systems to help improve the shelf-life of its products along with the building of a cleanroom.
fresh start bakerie has been provided with expert advice by the team of invest in catalonia, the section responsible for attracting inward investment of the directorate general of industry, part of the catalan government department of trade and employment.
