
Dow chemical expanding workforce in tarragona

The us multinational dow chemical opened its new r+d centre for water treatment and desalination yesterday in the petrochemical park of tarragona.
the company will use the new facility for testing new water treatment membranes developed by the company. according to anton valero, president of dow chemical iberia, when the centre is up and running, it will employ a workforce of 40 people. currently 25 engineers are working on the €10m site. the opening was attended by the catalan government head of public works, lluís recoder, and spain’s science minister, cristina garmendia, along with senior members of the company dow.
