Barcelona has strengthened its position as one of the world's leading cities in international talent attraction. According to Esade’s MBA City Monitor 2017, which is based on the number of international MBA full time students, the Catalan capital has climbed up two positions in the last two years. Now ranked sixth, together with Toronto, and only behind Boston, New York, London, Paris and Chicago.
The number of international full time MBA students in Barcelona has grown by almost 20% in two years. From 771 in 2015 it went up to 924 in 2017. The first city in the ranking, Boston, fell from 1,637 to 1,582, and the fifth one, Chicago, from 1,124 to 1,031, thus becoming closer to Barcelona’s reach. The best classified European cities, London and Paris, have grown even more, above 20%.
