The "new industry" adds value to the catalan economy

The "new industry", a concept that mergers manufacturing and services for businesses, generates two out of three euros of the catalan economy and employs 55.7% of the population, a study by the observatorio de prospectiva industrial said. its author, universitat de barcelona professor ezequiel baró, indicates that the "new industry" is "spain’s leading sector en terms of employment."
catalan trade minister josep huguet praised the academic data and insisted that "the industry had and will continue to have a key role" in the catalan economy. catalonia is also the community where the "new industry" has the greatest economic importance among all spanish regions.
