The iciq continues to grow, plans to attract 100 new scientists

The catalan institute for chemical research (iciq) has just opened 16 laboratories in a new area of 4,000 square meters. the new facilities can accommodate approximately 100 additional experts who will perform chemical research.
iciq general manager miquel pericàs said that "in just five years the center has become a point of reference for the european chemical industry.” the iciq generates about 2,000 jobs and trains experts in catalysis and clean energies. it is also part of tarragona’s chemical cluster, the largest in southern europe. catalan president josé montilla and innovation minister josep huguet attended the opening ceremony.
