The Catalan ministry for Innovation, Universities and Enterprise invested EUR 10 million (2009-2010) in a series of projects to facilitate the implementation of new investments in the central Catalonia region.
Invest in Catalonia, the investment promotion department of ACC1Ó, selected the projects based on their economic and social impact on the territory. Projects included Aldi's distribution center in Masquefa; a new Abacus logistics center in Vilanova del Camí; a service center for Indian steel producer Jindal and a center in Rajadell for car auction company BCA. The investments will create some 470 new jobs and will guarantee 125 additional posts.
