Terrassa launches technology park orbital 40

Terrassa plans to create 15,000 jobs over the next 20 years with the operation of orbital 40, a new technology park, situated north of the city.
with an area of over 500,000 square meters, orbital 40 will be one of catalonia's 10 innovation centers, with some 1,000 researchers and experts. investments are expected to reach eur 100 million, including 25 new facilities for research and innovation and the promotion of 150 new firms.
orbital 40's three main pillars are catalan university upc, research center leitat and catalonia's audiovisual park. leitat, one the most important research centers in catalonia, is to move its operations and 180 employees to a new 10,000-square-meter building in orbital 40.
