Spain consolidates position as world leader in executive training

Spain’s executive training sector has managed to work its way to the top of the world rankings in the category of executive education, according to the latest figures published in by the financial times.
in addition to first place achieved by the universidad de navarra business school iese, barcelona’s esade reached fifth, leaving spain as the only country with more than one business school in the top five, which put it ahead of france (hec), united states (harvard) and switzerland represented by imd.
a glance at the rankings of the top 15 establishments reveals that only the us is up to competing with spain in executive training, as the ie business school came in at 12th, climbing nine places in the tailor-made programs category.
the ft list looks at two rankings, namely those of open enrolment programs, i.e. those offering an overall grounding to company executives of any background, and another, which is that of the custom-made programs each school prepares on demand for a firm’s senior personnel.
