
Honda opens its new safety driving center

Catalan president josé montilla visited honda's facilities in santa perpètua de mogoda (barcelona) to mark the opening of europe's first safety driving center (sdc) for motorbikes.
with the help of experienced instructors, the sdc aims to educate drivers on road discipline, proper safety and superior driving skills. honda expects to receive about 15,000 drivers per year wishing to learn or re-learn motorcycle riding with safety techniques. the scd will also offer courses for professional drivers on efficiency driving and proper risk management.
catalonia's facilities are to have an area of 25,000 square meters, featuring a classroom area and a world-class training circuit, honda montesa ceo eduard buigas said. the japanese vehicle manufacturer has 36 sdc centers worldwide, mainly in asia and latin america.
