Granollers maintains its industrial strength

Vallès oriental's capital granollers has become a pole of development for the metal, chemical and food industries in catalonia. the city is home to two major business groups with revenue in excess of 400 million euros. baked products giant bimbo, cosmetics conglomerate coty and food company gallo also own production plants in the city.
granollers city council is about to finish the construction of a new courts building and the local hospital expansion, with a total investment of 46 million euros. the city also hopes to benefit from the construction of a new freeway (known as the fourth highway belt) connecting the vallès region, a much-needed infrastructure requested by local businesses.
