The eighth edition of Gamelab has come to a successful conclusion with a record 20,000 visitors, between trade and casual visitors.
For the five-day period of the VIII International Videogame and Interactive Leisure Fair some 20,000 people, including sector professionals and enthusiasts, packed out conferences and tried out some of the most looked-forward to game launches of the year worldwide.
Last weekend attention at the event was fully focused on the Gamelab Academy, a program devised to encourage entrepreneurs and small Spanish firms to grow and become known, while backing efforts to guarantee quality training in the field for the coming future.
Another key aim of Gamelab this year was to throw its weight behind the development of international business via Gamelab Hub; the platform for the internationalisation of Spanish video gaming firms, which drew over 160 companies to the initiative and managed more than 1,100 working meetings among them, while the number of international businesses taking part in this section in the 2012 edition has tripled.
