
Fluor Corporation strengthens its presence in Tarragona

Industrial conglomerate Fluor Corporation has chosen Tarragona to set up the headquarters of its engineering and maintenance unit, Fluor Plant Engineering. The group expects to multiply by four the unit's revenue to 24 million euros in 2009 and to double its work force to about 200 people.
"Tarragona is a strategic commitment for our group because it is the largest petrochemical port in Southern Europe, and many of our customers are centralized in this area," Taco De Haan, Fluor international vice president said. DuPont, Alcoa and Repsol are some of Fluor's leading clients in Tarragona.
