Catalonia: industrial productivity sees increase

A new production model is already underway in catalonia, according to a study on the productivity of catalan companies, prepared by professor josep oliver for catalonia’s observatori de prospectiva industrial.
the study indicates that catalan businesses have increased their investments in it and r&d and have significantly improved the professional profile of its human capital. the result has been an increase in productivity and a high adaptability of the catalan industry, spain's most diversified and internationalized. according to professor oliver in all periods studied "catalan companies have gained market share in europe and are more open to international competition."
