Despite the international crisis, industrial investment in Catalonia rose 2.2% last year, according to the annual report presented by the Catalan Industry Ministry.
The study also shows that exports grew by 0.7% compared to 2007. Figures for the business climate index and the industrial production indicator "suggest that the worst part of the crisis might be behind us," Industry Secretary Antoni Soy said.
The annual report analyzes Catalan industry's evolution taking into account variables such as GDP, the Industrial Production indicator, the business climate index, employment, foreign trade, foreign investment flows, industrial investments and industrial prices.
