Barcelona's autonomous university is to offer spain’s first college degree in nanotechnology, uab chancellor anna ripoll confirmed.
catalonia, and particularly barcelona, is gradually becoming a leading european center for nanotechnology sciences. earlier this year, the catalan capital hosted the gennesys nanotechnology world congress and research infrastructures, with more 800 representatives from over 20 countries.
new nanotechnology applications include energy systems, health-related services, eco-friendly transport initiatives and information technologies.
