Barcelona hosts the first edition of big data congress

Barcelona hosts (november 3 and 4) the first edition of big data congress, which will turn the city into the capital of intelligent data management on the internet. over a thousand visitors will discuss how this technology will transform society and the challenges of intelligent management of data. the congress brings together technology and business and puts the main emphasis on the privacy issue, one of the most pressing concerns in the world of online data.
the congress is organized by the centre of excellence in big data barcelona in collaboration with the town hall, the government of catalonia, eurecat and oracle.
the technology center eurecat, one of the partners in organizing the conference, estimates that the data management on the internet will generate 900,000 jobs in europe within the next six years.
the centre of excellence in big data barcelona is aligned with public, local and national policies to drive strategic sectors and the european strategy of promotion of big data through public-private initiatives
