Baqueira to invest eur 6 million

Catalan ski resort baqueira-beret is to invest eur 6 million in a new six-person chairlift to improve facilities at the resort's northern ski area. the company also plans to add a new four-passenger ski lift to improve access to the beret area.

during the season 2008-09 baqueira had 812,000 visitors, an increase of 8% compared to the previous year. in 2009, baqueira also invested eur 5 million to improve facilities, expand ski areas and replace snow-grooming machines.
