The Swiss medtech company Ypsomed is a world leader in manufacturing insulin pens. Ypsomed has chosen Barcelona to open its first R&D center outside Switzerland and expects to build a workforce of 60 people over the next year.
CEO Simon Michel explains in this interview how, from Barcelona, the company will do everything that involves digitalizing its devices. Finding the best talent pool in Catalonia was a determining factor for the new investment, as well as sharing the same cultural values.
Simon Michel also highlights the support Ypsomed received from Catalonia Trade & Investment to find the right location and to undergo the recruiting process.
