
US company Jabil to build a new paper bottle plant in Catalonia

US-based company Jabil has announced its expansion plans that include the buildout of a new paper bottle plant in its Sustainability Center of Excellence located in Tortosa (Tarragona).
This investment, together with the one that the company will make in its subsidiary located in California (United States), will amount to $25M and will increase the production of cellulose pulp molding.
Jabil Senior Vice President, Jason Paladino, said the expansion of these two facilities "will result in a significant increase in packaging capacity for the North American and European markets".
Jabil Tortosa is the European Headquarters for Jabil packaging Solutions in Europe and located close to Barcelona. The group has over 260,000 employees across 100 locations in 30 countries.
