Policolor offset opens new production plant in barcelona amid pledge to increase workforce

The french multinational policolor offset, part of the lgr emballages group, now has its production facility up and running. the new €6 million factory in barberá del vallés will produce packaging materials for the pharmaceutical industry.
policolor offset is catalonia’s second largest producer of pharmaceutical packaging, turning out some 250 million units per year. the firm, which until now ran its production from l’hospitalet de llobregat, registered a turnover of €6 million for the latest financial year and aims to double sales over the coming two-year period.
the new plant has kept on the forty workers previously employed and plans to add a further twenty members of staff in the not too distant future.
the move to the new 6,000m2 barberá facility has also been accompanied by the introduction of a new generation of production machinery from the french firm, which makes it one of the most advanced pharmaceutical packaging production plants anywhere in spain.
policolor offset boasts a consolidated portfolio of established clients in the pharma industry, among which are such household names as: novartis, sanofi, kern pharma o glaxo smithkline.
