REVIEW OF THE YEAR 2020
Henkel, Bayer, UPS, Nestlé, ABB, Adevinta… The list goes on, all international companies that decided to invest or reinvest in Catalonia during 2020. Despite being the year of a global pandemic, and also the year where companies were forced to reinvent themselves, Barcelona and Catalonia have shown resilience, innovation and the strength to continue to be FDI leaders in Europe.
International companies keep choosing Catalonia to build their new tech hubs, logistics centres and manufacturing sites. In 2020, Barcelona emerged as the 3th best European city, and the 8th in the world. What’s more, according to the Financial Times, Catalonia is the best Southern European region for investment in 2020 and 2021.
