Transmesa projects over €80M in turnover after investment, backed by a nearly €190K grant from Catalonia Trade & Investment’s High-Impact program.
Transmesa has invested €15 million to expand its tube production facility for the automotive sector in Catalonia (Sant Ramon, Lleida). The company launched this project to incorporate a new production line for stainless steel tubes, enabling it to meet the evolving needs of hybrid and hydrogen vehicles. As part of the expansion, Transmesa has created 16 new jobs, a figure expected to reach 35 once the facility is fully operational in the coming months.
For this project, Transmesa received support and a grant of nearly €190,000 from Catalonia Trade & Investment—the business competitiveness agency of the Ministry for Business and Labour—through its High-Impact Business Investment support program.
Transmesa has added new machinery and two new buildings to its Sant Ramon plant, which now comprises five buildings with a total surface area of over 22,000 m2. The company is currently in the process of launching the new production line, which is expected to become fully operational in the coming months. This expansion is projected to increase the company’s turnover by 33%, from the current €60 million to €80 million.

Transmesa specializes in the manufacturing and processing of tubes for the automotive sector, which up to now were made of carbon steel. With this new project, the company has begun producing stainless steel tubes as well. The new stainless steel tubes, which Transmesa began producing in late 2024, are primarily used in hydrogen engines, methane gas systems for gasoline injection in hybrid vehicles, railway machinery, and installations for the application of gases and fluids in semiconductor manufacturing.
