The Neápolis building in Vilanova i la Geltrú is the site chosen by Service2Media, world leader in advanced solutions for mobile devices to house its Spanish base.
The Dutch technology and service enterprise plans to expand throughout the peninsula from its new office and is also due to set up a R+D+i facility as it plans to use Neápolis as its nerve centre, from where it will run operations for markets in Latin America and Southern Europe. Richard Schreutelkamp, company CFO commented that there are currently five people working in the new offices, but that in the coming weeks “five more are due to start work, and that once formal job offers have been put in place, the workforce will rise.”
Service2Media has recently announced it is to invest $10 million in an ambitious expansion program. Indeed, the firm has been included in Gartner’s ‘Magic Quadrant' of research technology into mobile applications for consumers along with such familiar names as RIM, SAP and HP. At present the Dutch multinational is working alongside some of the leading innovators in the sector, such as Turner / CNN, Rabobank, Al Jazeera or Liberty Global, to mention but a few.
