Henkel Ibérica opened a Supply Chain Planning Hub in Barcelona, enhancing logistics and planning while creating 100 jobs.
Henkel Ibérica in Catalonia has been selected to host the new Supply Chain Planning Hub for its Consumer Brands business (HCB), a crucial team responsible for planning and managing Henkel's supply chain across Europe.
The new hub, located in Barcelona, will hire over 100 professionals, with staff integration anticipated to finish by year-end. The launch started with an initial group of over 40 skilled professionals, taking advantage of the Iberian subsidiary and Barcelona's vibrant environment to attract top talent.

"With this new hub, Henkel Ibérica will have over 200 professionals dedicated to regional planning, creating a diverse and international team committed to innovation and operational excellence in Europe from Barcelona", says Adrian Orbea, President of Henkel Ibérica.
This new hub in Barcelona is part of Henkel's comprehensive strategy to enhance logistics responsiveness and improve supply chain efficiency. This strategy is based on four key pillars: effective communication and collaboration, increasing the impact and reach of Henkel's consumer business, maximizing performance, and fostering talent and professional development.
The establishment of this new hub reinforces Barcelona's role as a strategic center for the company. It highlights Henkel's dedication to Henkel Ibérica, Catalonia, and particularly to Barcelona, which acts as the Iberian headquarters. Henkel has long been committed to digital transformation and Industry 4.0, investing in the development of state-of-the-art production centers. One of these is Henkel's production center in Montornés del Vallés (Barcelona), whose Laundry & Home Care plant was recently recognized by the World Economic Forum as a model factory, the first in the Iberian Peninsula.
The Montornés plant is a reference center for the company, which has been operating for more than 50 years, producing more than 200,000 tons of detergents, liquids, and adhesives per year, employing more than 500 people and exporting to more than 60 countries.
Additionally, the city is home to other essential European teams, including the Purchasing Hub for indirect materials and services, which was launched earlier this year, as well as the European Supply Chain Hub for Henkel Adhesive Technologies, hosted by Henkel Ibérica since 2017.
