Japanese company Fujitsu, specializing in IT infrastructure and information security, has established in Barcelona its first Healthcare Cybersecurity Center in the world. The IT firm has been present in Catalonia for over 40 years and currently employs 350 professionals in Barcelona.

Enric Llaudet, director of the Barcelona Healthcare Cybersecurity Center, explains in this interview that Fujitsu chose the Catalan capital because of the health technology sector's dynamism. The Japanese firm plans to offer cybersecurity services to health infrastructures in Catalonia. It will also explore possible collaborations with health-tech startups, universities, and research centers in Catalonia.
The new center will be located initially in Fujitsu's offices in Cornellà de Llobregat (Barcelona).
