Fira de barcelona to open two new fair pavilions

fira de barcelona is scheduled to open in the spring of 2011 the last two pavilions of its gran via fair facilities. the additional exhibit space will house a series of trade shows, most notably the itma textile technology fair, coming to barcelona in september 2011.
the new 40,000-square-meter facility will increase exhibition halls to eight, with 240,000 square meters in total. "the fira de barcelona's expansion is one of the most important and strategic projects in catalonia," barcelona mayor jordi hereu said.
