Coovally offers a platform that supports companies and individuals who want to introduce artificial intelligence into their business processes. These services enable companies to accelerate the implementation of AI projects and increase productivity when developing them with solutions such as automatic data management, efficient model training, and deployment. Therefore, they also ultimately help these firms increase the profits achieved with these projects.
The Chinese company has established its global operations center in the new Barcelona office on Diagonal Avenue, close to Glòries Square. Coovally's CTO, Dr. Guodong Wang, explains that "we're settling in Barcelona because the city is very well connected to the rest of the world's markets, with an ecosystem of startups and large companies that grows day by day, and that has a high capacity to generate and attract all kinds of talent".
In these early stages, Coovally has hired fifteen workers, a staff that they expect to triple within the next 3-4 years. In addition, the company has been adapting its platform to fit the most common needs of companies working with artificial intelligence in the Western market. They also plan to invest up to €6 million in the new office over the next three years.
Coovally was co-founded in 2021 in Nanjing by Artificial Intelligence experts Dr. Guodong Wang, Dr. Schahram Dustdar, and M.Sc. Li Liu. On a global scale, it has more than fifty employees distributed between an office from where it centralizes the business in China, located in the city of Nanjing, and another work center in Hangzhou, specializing in customized R&D service. In 2023, the firm generated a turnover of 4 million euros.
