Canadian company Talent.com creates 20 jobs at its Barcelona offices

The Canadian company Talent.com has created around twenty jobs at its Barcelona offices, where it established its European hub a couple of years ago. In the initial phase after the pandemic, the company analyzed the opportunities available in the European market from Catalonia. Now, it has launched its expansion plans, aiming to double its workforce in the Catalan capital over the next five years.

To set up in Catalonia, Talent.com has received the support of the Government through ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment, the agency for business competitiveness of the Department of Business and Labour, and its Foreign Trade and Investment Office in Montreal.

According to Talent.com's chief of staff, Robert Boersma, the company has chosen Barcelona because "in an international hub, it is necessary to have a team that can speak all kinds of languages". From its offices in the Catalan capital, the Canadian company provides service to the entire European market, both in business development and customer service areas. "Barcelona is so international that we knew we could find highly trained talent with different experiences, and, in addition, it is a cultural center that is easy to travel to because it is well located in Europe and in the same time zone as other countries where we work", emphasizes Boersma. "Since 2019, we have been working to promote the international presence of our company, with a focus on business growth, which we are confident we will achieve from Barcelona and which will also be accompanied by an increase in our workforce", Boersma highlights.

Talent.com is a job search website that aggregates job offers from a specific field into one single space, which can be accessed from various pages. The company mainly works in partnership with extensive HR and staffing consultancies, and it plans to grow its presence by directly working with end businesses.

Talent.com was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in Montreal, with a staff of about 60 people. On a global scale, the company has over 200 employees, distributed in their hubs (in Canada, the United States, Colombia, and, now, Catalonia) and in their commercial offices worldwide. Since the launching of the company, they have closed two rounds of investment in Canada with a total value of 200 million Canadian dollars.
