The print-on-demand drop shipping company Printful will invest 3 million euros in its European expansion with the opening of a new fulfillment center located in Sant Climent de Llobregat (Barcelona). This is Printful's second center in Europe, adding to the one they already have in Latvia. The new center will have 1,798 m² that will locate the production, storage and logistics of Printful products, and operations are expected to begin in early 2020 creating up to 60 new jobs.
According to the company’s release, Printful decided on Barcelona “due to its strategic location and its key position at a technological level in Europe”. In this way, the company will be able to meet the demand for faster shipments to Western Europe. Moreover, orders to Spain and Portugal will be sent in 24 and 48 hours.
“The Western European market grew 150% in 2018 compared to the previous year. Since we see the demand, we want to keep improving and providing fast shipping to Western Europe, which is easy to do from Spain. We're following our strategy in the US, where we have a facility on either coast to be closer to customers”, said Printful's CEO, Davis Siksnans.
Printful is one of the largest custom on-demand printing and warehousing companies in the world. It currently employs more than 700 people across five fulfillment centers in California, North Carolina, Latvia, Spain, and Mexico.
