Matachana opens new plant

The family firm matachana, specialised in the manufacture and sale of sterilisation equipment for the health, research, industrial and hostelry sectors, based in the poblenou area of barcelona has recently invested some €7m in a new facility in the town of castelldefels, (by barcelona airport).
ceo juan antonio matachana stated, “the new centre will comprise the both the innovation department and production facility. the firm aims to have the plant operational by the spring, producing mid to high range sterilisers for health care facilities and the research sector among others. the group, with 380 employees, reported a turnover of €65m for the last financial year, a little over half of which came from overseas sales.
