International design network World Design Weeks will move its headquarters from Helsinki to Barcelona in 2020.

Specifically, the new offices will be hosted at Barcelona Center of Design (BCD), which is located at the city’s Design Hub.

Founded in 2016, World Design Weeks brings together 40 international design weeks and events hosted in cities such as Helsinki, Eindhoven, San Francisco, Toronto, Mexico City, Beijing, Seoul or Tokyo.

The network has the objective to promote collaboration in the design field, to support product development and to develop the economy of creative fields. Therefore, members share knowledge, resources and best practices to foster growth of design events, through the exchange of products and ideas and sustainable development.
