its 2,000 m2 catalan headquarters has at present a team of 10 people. the company’s goal is to increase to a workforce of 50 and a turnover of 100 million euros, via a 5-year growth plan aimed at consolidating its presence in spain.
from barcelona, ducasse industrial distributes its products to twenty countries in europe, africa and asia. in fact, it is the company’s only delegation outside south america and the united states. in its process of opening up of new markets in europe, the company has been supported by acció, the catalan government’s agency for business competiveness.
in the words of christian meier, ducasse industrial europe’s general manager, “the steady growth enjoyed over recent years will mean we can meet our established objectives”. he emphasizes that “catalonia is an ideal spot for the ducasse industrial europe project, because it has traditionally been an industrial economy, a fact that has left a clear mark on the culture that goes beyond strictly economic values”. indeed, meier says that "catalonia should feel proud of its industry: the social prestige of this sector should encourage people, especially young people, to adapt their training in this field, and for them to see that there are good job opportunities to be found”.
on an international level, ducasse industrial has a turnover of over 50 million dollars and has 400 workers and 5 more offices located in chile, the united states, mexico, brazil and argentina. it exports its products to over 50 countries and is participating in a new branch of the louvre museum in abu dhabi.
