Catalonia at SCEWC 2024

At SCEWC 2024, the Government of Catalonia stand in Hall 3, Stand 50, will showcase innovations from 20 Catalan companies. They come from the engineering, energy, data analytics, and security industries and showcase the expertise and range of Catalonia's urban innovation ecosystem.

Catalonia Urban Solutions B2B

Catalonia Urban Solutions is an on-site B2B and B2G event that connects international companies, entities, and institutions with Catalan suppliers. It offers cutting-edge, innovative solutions ready to be implemented or commercialized. 

This matchmaking event allows international participants to share their needs with Catalan participants, showcasing their solutions; it helps set pre-scheduled meetings and cost-efficiently generate valuable leads and partnerships. By attending, participants can stay ahead of industry trends and network with key players worldwide. 

The event will occur from November 5-7, 2024, at the Catalonia Stand within SCEWC. All meetings are arranged through our Catalonia Urban Solutions online platform. 

Participation is free of charge: you only need to register on the platform by October 31, 2024.

Open Innovation Challenge 

If you are a technology provider or a startup, the Open Innovation Challenge at SCEWC 2024 allows you to present your urban solutions to major global corporations, institutions, and governments. Key organizations participating include Repsol, Circontrol, Grupo Asatra, Government of Catalonia, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona, City of Amsterdam, Roma Smart City Lab, Belize City Council, and many more.

The Open Innovation Challenge will focus on a wide range of topics, such as energy efficiency, automation, improved mobility, robotics, electric vehicles, and new materials. By participating, you can discover these organizations' specific challenges and request meetings with them if your solution fits. This is a unique opportunity to position your technology or startup at the forefront of urban innovation.

Meetings with the corporations can be held physically at the SCEWC in Barcelona from November 5-7 or online during the designated dates in late October and early November.

Participation is free of charge. Register on the Open Innovation Challenge platform as a tech or solution provider by November 11, 2024.

• Cavaworking: Catalonia Stand will host on Wednesday 6th its warmup event, gathering local and international entrepreneurs, startups, and public administration for a more informal meeting.
• Tours to visit the Catalan smart cities ecosystem: Catalonia Trade & Investment will host international delegations eager to meet and interact with a wide range of urban solutions from key Catalan businesses.
• Cities' Challenges: Join us on Wednesday, December 6, from 12:30 to 13:15 in Hall 3, Innovation Playground Agora, for a session on urban challenges and innovative solutions. Moderated by Saskia van Brakel and featuring Jordi Aguasca, both from ACCIÓ-Catalonia Trade & Investment, this event will provide valuable insights into shaping the future of cities.
