Inspired in Barcelona: SPA

Inspired in Barcelona: SPA is an exciting exhibition part of Milan Design Week 2023. This year's edition of 'Inspired in Barcelona' is an excellent opportunity to learn about the latest lighting and design trends and experience the magic of light uniquely and unforgettably. This year's concept is dedicated entirely to light and its relationship with bodies and spaces.

The exhibition will be held from 17th to 23rd April 2023 and is promoted by the Government of Catalonia (ACCIÓ - Catalonia Trade & Investment),  the Disseny Hub of the Barcelona City Council, and organized by BCD - Barcelona Centre de Disseny, with Simon Electric as a concept partner.

The exhibition is set to take place in the Salone Scalabrini at the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine, where visitors can experience tactile and non-tactile material at different temperatures, energy flows, thermal inertia, hot and cold bodies contained in a single transmittable architecture that translates into a genuinely experiential journey.

Over thirty companies have contributed to this installation which is an artistic interpretation of the potential of the lighting sector in Catalonia and Barcelona. Through this exhibition, Simon aims to promote and lead the light culture by collaborating with creators, professionals, and companies from the lighting world who will be part of the work.

Architect and designer Guillermo Santomà has conceptualized the project, aiming to investigate how light acts on different bodies and how it transforms them, sculpting new forms each time. The installation aims to showcase the beauty and possibilities of light and how it can shape our environment and create new experiences.
