German luxury online retailer Mytheresa opens new tech hub in Barcelona with up to 70 employees

German luxury online retailer Mytheresa has opened a 700 square meter tech hub in Barcelona’s Rambla de Catalunya where it will host up to 70 employees. The German company’s technology hub in Barcelona will focus on the development of technology and services with the hiring of professionals in the field of ICT, marketing and design, among others.
The company’s investment project in Catalonia is supported by Catalonia Trade & Investment, the Government’s agency for business competitiveness, and Barcelona’s City Council, through Barcelona Activa.
According to Mytheresa’s president, Michael Kliger, “we are very excited about the opening of the Mytheresa Barcelona office. Barcelona has emerged as one of Europe’s leading hubs for digital technology and offers a unique pool of international talent. The direct access to Barcelona’s thriving tech scene is of great value to Mytheresa’s continued, successful global expansion”. Currently, about thirty people are already working at this new hub, that consolidates the German company’s commitment to Barcelona, where it first opened office in 2018.
